- Cardinal Audrys Juozas Backis, archbishop of Vilnius, Lithuania.
- Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops.
- Archbishop Nikola Eterovic, secretary general of the Synod of Bishops.
