POPE RECEIVES BOOK OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF HIS PONTIFICATE

VATICAN CITY, DEC 3, 2002 - This morning the Pope received the president, secretary and undersecretary of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, accompanied by a group of photographers who presented him with a book of pictures commemorating the beginning of the 25th year of his pontificate.

"This new publication," said the Pope, "intends to bear witness with the effective language of images to the activity carried out by the Successor of Peter in these 24 years, illustrating the most significant moments and events. I truly hope that the Pope's encounters with faithful from all over the world, which you wanted to document fully in this collection of photographs, may inspire everyone to faithfully follow the path of Gospel witness."
