Francisco Gonzalez Hernandez, O.P., pastor in Quillabamba, Puerto Maldonado, Peru, as coadjutor bishop of the apostolic vicariate of Puerto Maldonado (area 156,000, population 238,000, Catholics 223,000, priests 37, permanent deacons 5, religious 96), Peru. The bishop-elect was born in Valladolid, Spain, in 1952 and ordained to the priesthood in 1982.
