audience Cardinal Fernando Filoni, prefect of the Congregation for
the Evangelisation of Peoples.

Saturday, 14 September the Holy Father received in audience:

Kiril Liubomirov Topalov, ambassador of Bulgaria to the Holy See,
presenting his letters of credence.

Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, president of the Pontifical Council for
the Family.

Hisashi Hieda, president of the Japan Art Association and the
Praemium Imperiale of the Arts, with his wife and entourage.

William Kloter, major of the Swiss Guard, on his farewell visit.
