Paul Mandla Khumalo, C.M.M., vicar general of the Congregation of the Missionaries of Mariannhill, in Rome, as bishop of Witbank (area 56,886, population 2,585,000, Catholics 105,000, priests 40, permanent deacons 8, religious 62), South Africa. The bishop-elect was born in St. Wendelin, South Africa, in 1947 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1973.
