VATICAN CITY, APR 9, 1999 (VIS) - The following is the calendar of liturgical celebrations at which the Holy Father will preside from April through June:
APRIL
- Sunday, 11: Second Sunday of Easter. Pastoral visit to the Roman parish of Our Lady of Loreto. Mass at 9 a.m.
- Sunday, 18: Third Sunday of Easter. Canonization of Blesseds Marcellin Joseph Benoit Champagnat, Giovanni Calabria and Agostina Livia Pietrantoni, in St. Peter's Square at 10 a.m.
- Sunday, 25: Fourth Sunday of Easter. Ordination of deacons of the Diocese of Rome, in St. Peter's Basilica at 9 a.m.
MAY
- Sunday, 2: Fifth Sunday of Easter. Beatification of Servant of God Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, in St. Peter's Square at 9:30 a.m. followed by "Regina Coeli" in St. John Lateran Square at midday.
- Friday, 7: Apostolic trip to Romania, return to Rome on May 9.
- Sunday, 16: Seventh Sunday of Easter. Mass for the world Charity meeting, in St. Peter's Square at 10 a.m.
