The Holy Father:
- appointed Archbishop Miguel Maury
Buendia, apostolic nuncio in Romania, as apostolic nuncio in
Moldavia.
- decided that the Canadian diocese of
Keewatin – Le Pas, Churchill – Hudson Bay, Moosonee, Grouard –
McLennan and Mackenzie – Fort Smith Whitehorse shall transfer from
the jurisdiction of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of
Peoples to that of the Congregation of Bishops.
