VATICAN CITY, 4 MAR 2010 (VIS) - The Holy Father:

 - Accepted the resignation from the office of auxiliary of the archdiocese of Vilnius, Lithuania, presented by Bishop Juozas Tunaitis, in accordance with canons 411 and 401 para. 1 of the Code of Canon Law.

 - Appointed as members of the Pontifical Committee for International Eucharistic Congresses: Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson, president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace; Cardinal Antonio Canizares Llovera, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments; Fr. Wojciech Giertych O.P., theologian of the Pontifical Household, and Fr. Theodore Mascarenhas S.F.X., official of the Pontifical Council for Culture.
