    - Archbishop Carmelo Ferraro of Agrigento.

    - Bishop Mario Russotto of Caltanissetta.

    - Bishop Michele Pennisi of Piazza Armerina.

 - Frere Alois, prior of the community of Taize, France.

  On Saturday, march 24, he received in separate audiences:

 - Bishop Sebastiano Sanguinetti of Tempio-Ampurias, Italy, on his "ad limina" visit.

 - Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops.
