Manfred Scheuer, professor of dogmatic theology of the Faculty of Theology of Trier, Germany, as bishop of Innsbruck (area 10,097, population 462,323, Catholics 412,871, priests 396, permanent deacons 54, religious 470), Austria. The bishop-elect was born in Hailbach ob der Donau, Austria in 1955 and was ordained a priest in 1980.
