- Bishop Juan Bocwinckel S.V.D., prelate emeritus of Encarnacion, Paraguay, on July 23 at the age of 88.
- Archbishop Ignace Raad, emeritus of Saida of the Greek Melikites, Lebanon, on July 19 at the age of 75.
