- Bishop Fernando Torres Duran, auxiliary of Panama, Panama, as bishop of Chitre (area 6,225, population 182,598, Catholics 176,198, priests 22, religious 26), Panama.
- Fr. Patrick Taval M.S.C., master of novices at Vunapau, Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, as auxiliary of the archdiocese of Rabaul. The bishop-elect was born in Taranga, Papua New Guinea, in 1956 and ordained a priest in 1984.
