appointed Bishop Sebastian Francis Shaw as Archbishop of Lahore (area
23,069, population 27,023,000, Catholics 404,000, priests 78,
religious 343), Pakistan. Archbishop-elect Shaw was previously
auxiliary of Lahore and apostolic administrator “ad nutum Sanctae
Sedis” of the same archdiocese.

accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of
Nanterre, France, presented by Bishop Gerard Daucourt, in accordance
with canon 401 para. 2 of the Code of Canon Law.
