Pierre-Marie Carre, vicar general of Agen, as metropolitan archbishop of Albi (area 5,780, population 342,800, Catholics 300,000, priests 172, religious 616, permanent deacons 14), France. The archbishop-elect was born in Seques, France in 1947 and was ordained a priest in 1974.
