VATICAN CITY, MAY 14, 1999 (VIS) - The Holy Father today received in separate audiences:
- His Beatitude Raphael I Bidawid, patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldeans, and his entourage.
- Archbishop Luigi Travaglino, apostolic nuncio in Nicaragua.
- Three prelates from the Kenya Episcopal Conference on their "ad limina" visit:
- Archbishop Raphael S. Ndingi Mwana'a Nzeki of Nairobi.
- Archbishop John Njenga of Mombasa.
- Bishop John Christopher Mahon, S.P.S. of Lodwar.
- Archbishop Julian Herranz, Bishop Bruno Bertagna and Fr. Marino Maccarelli, O.S.M. respectively president, secretary and under-secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts.
He is scheduled to meet later this evening with Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone S.D.B., emeritus of Vercelli, secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
