prefect of the Congregation for Bishops;
- Archbishop Georges Pontier of
Marseilles, France, president of the Conference of Bishops of France,
accompanied by Bishop Pascal Delannoy of Saint-Denis, vice president,
and Msgr. Olivier Ribadeau, general secretary.
