Vatican City, 2014 (VIS) – This
morning the head of government of the Principality of Andorra, Antoni
Martí i Petit, was received in audience in the Vatican Apostolic
Palace by Pope Francis. He subsequently met with Cardinal Secretary
of State Pietro Parolin, accompanied by Archbishop Dominique
Mamberti, secretary for Relations with States.
The cordial discussions brought to the
fore the traditional good relations between the Holy See and the
Principality of Andorra, consolidated by the Agreement ratified on 12
December 2008, which aimed to develop mutual collaboration between
the Catholic Church and the State.
The Parties then focused on various
themes of common interest in the social sphere.
