I find it interesting and a great sign that Father Jerzy Popieluszko is to be beatified. I have read his life and writings.
ReplyDeleteBut when will another martyr for justice, Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, be beatified?
The commitment of both to the poor and oppressed is clear though some would find Father Popieluszko's approach much more political than Monseñor Romero's.
Is a major difference that the regime responsible for father's killing was Communist and those responsible for killing the archbishop were nominally Catholic?
