VATICAN CITY, JUL 5, 2002 (VIS) - This morning in the Clementine Hall, decrees relative to 13 Servants of God were promulgated in the presence of the Holy Father, members of the Congregation of the Causes for Saints and the postulators of the respective causes. Cardinal Jose Saraiva Martins, Prefect of the Congregation, read a speech detailing the lives of the future Blesseds and Saints.
The decrees concern the following causes:
MIRACLES
- Servant of God Sigismondo Felice Felinski, born in Wojutyn (now the Ukraine), Archbishop of Warsaw, Founder of the Congregation of Religious Franciscans of the Family of Mary (1822-1895).
- Servant of God John Adalbert Balicki, Polish, Diocesan Priest (1869-1948).
- Servant of God John Beyzym, born in Beyzymy Wielkie (now the Ukraine), Priest of the Society of Jesus (1850-1912).
- Servant of God Eugenia Ravasco, Italian, foundress of the Institute of the Religious Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (1845-1900).
- Servant of God Juana Maria Condesa Lluch, Spanish, Foundress of the Congregation of the Servants of the Immaculate Conception, protectors of workers (1862-1916).
- Servant of God Maria Dominica Mantovani, Italiana, Co-foundress and first Superior General of the Institute of the Little Sisters of the Sacred Family (1862-1934).
- Servant of God Sanzia Szymkowiak, nee Joanna, Polish,
religious of the Congregation of the Sorrowful Virgin Mary (1910-1942).
- Servant of God Ladislao Batthyany-Strattmann, Hungarian, father of a family (1870-1931).
