POPE TO GO TO VALLE D'AOSTA FOR 13-DAY VACATION

VATICAN CITY, JUL 2, 1999 (VIS) - John Paul II will spend a strictly private period of rest and relaxation in Valle d'Aosta, a region in northwestern Italy, from the afternoon of Wednesday, July 7, to Tuesday, July 20. The Pope has previously been to Valle d'Aosta in the summers of 1989, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995 and 1997.

On Sunday, July 11, the Pope will pray the angelus from the chalet at Les Combes and on Sunday, July 18, from the Carmelite Monastery of Quart.
