VATICAN CITY, FEB 5, 1999 (VIS) - The Holy Father today received in separate audiences:

- Six prelates from the Episcopal Conference of Greece on their "ad limina" visit:
- Archbishop Antonios Varthalitis A.A., of Corfu, Zante and Cefalonia; apostolic administrator "ad nutum Sanctae Sedis" of the apostolic vicariate of Thessaloniki (Salonika).
- Archbishop Nikolaos Foscolos of Athenai; apostolic administrator "sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis" of Rhodes.
- Archbishop Nikolaos Printesis of Naxos, Andros, Tinos and Mykonos; apostolic administrator "sede vacante" of Chios.
- Bishop Franghiskos Papamanolis O.F.M., of Syros, Milos, Santorini; apostolic administrator of Crete.
- Bishop Anarghyros Printesis, apostolic exarch for Catholics of the Byzantine rite.
- Rev. Nechan Karakeheyan, ordinary for Catholics of the Armenian rite resident in Greece; apostolic visitor for Catholic Armenian faithful in Central-Eastern Europe without their own ordinary.
- Archbishop Paul Fouad Tabet, apostolic nuncio in Greece.
Later this evening, the Holy Father is scheduled to receive Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
